Tianhe launches smart government service hotline using 5G tech
Residents often encounter problems when trying to access government services. For example, many people don’t know where to find the service directory or are unsure of the counseling hotline’s hours of operation. Some service guidance can be too complicated for some citizens.
To tackle these difficulties, Guangzhou’s Tianhe district launched a smart hotline on May 25 that utilizes 5G technology.
After calling the hotline and hanging up, callers will receive a 5G message from the system – containing functional links and information. From the message, citizens will be able to enter a range of service pages and handle affairs such as hospital registration, business registration and social insurance inquiries.
They no longer had to download an app or follow any official WeChat accounts of government departments.
According to a report by Guangzhou Daily, 5G technology will be gradually applied to all service platforms in Tianhe district in an effort to increase the convenience level for residents.
