Tianhe District Library

Tianhe District Library was founded in February 1992. It consists of Longkouxi Library and Huagang Library and has a building area of 5,198 square meters with 807 reading seats.

Longkouxi Library, the main venue of Tianhe District Library, is located in a seven-story building at No. 80 Longkouxi Road. With a combined building area of 3,198 square meters and 507 reading seats, it comprises five large reading rooms, which feature newspapers and journals, reading materials for children, comprehensive publications, literature and electronic materials, three book banks, a multi-function room and a self-study room for students.

As of December 2016, Tianhe District Library housed 363,688 books, 733 kinds of newspapers and journals, 13,090 pieces of audio-video resources and over 2.8 million electronic books in natural sciences, social sciences and many other disciplines.

In addition, statistics show that by January 2017, Tianhe District Library had collected three terabytes of data resources related to ancient literature, regional publications and online music, and purchased 14 terabytes of digital data resources from CNKI academic databases, the ssvideo.superlib.com/ website and Ai Book Digital Technology.

Tianhe District Library has initially built an integrated collection system of printed publications, databases and online resources with an emphasis on high-tech and social culture.
