Passengers commuting between Guangzhou's Nansha district and the city of Hong Kong will feel more convenient as Nansha Passenger Port increased its total number of shuttle liners between Nansha and Hong Kong to 18 on June 1.
A total of 35 major projects with a combined investment of over 128 billion yuan ($18.5 billion) broke ground in Guangzhou Development District on May 28.
On May 18, Haizhu district in Guangzhou launched a service center for innovation and entrepreneurship projects by youth from Hong Kong and Macao.
Guangzhou will further enhance its functions as an international business center and comprehensive transportation hub, boost the interconnection of infrastructure with surrounding areas, and build a new transportation system for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, according to Peng Gaofeng, head of the city's planning and natural resources bureau.
On May 8, representatives from the Guangzhou Port Authority, Guangzhou Port Group, the Guangzhou branch of China Unicom, the New Generation Communication and Network Innovation Institute of Guangdong, and Huawei Technologies Co. signed a strategic cooperation agreement to build a 5G port innovation center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The Dynamic Macao Business and Trade Fair, an event to promote the food of Macao and boost exchanges between small- and medium-sized enterprises in Macao and the Chinese mainland, kicked off in the city of Guangzhou on May 9.
