A total of 35 major projects with a combined investment of over 128 billion yuan ($18.5 billion) broke ground in Guangzhou Development District on May 28.

With an investment of over 10 billion yuan, the project includes an exit-entry building, a yacht terminal, a helicopter transportation station, a smart manufacturing cooperation center, five-star hotels, and high-end talent apartments.
The Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Exit and Entry Building will open a water route connecting to Hong Kong International Airport and Macao International Airport. The travel time from the Guangzhou Development District to Hong Kong International Airport will be 1 hour and 20 minutes, and Guangzhou residents can arrive at Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong in less than two hours. The building is expected to open in May next year.
