The "Hong Kong Health Code" system will be open for registration from 9:00 a.m. local time on Dec. 10, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government said on Dec 2.
In response to a recently reported COVID-19 positive case in Guangzhou's Baiyun district, the following traffic control measures have been implemented on Dec 6 by the Guangzhou municipal transportation bureau.
On Dec 3, 2021, a hotel staff member in Baiyun district tested positive for COVID-19. He works at a quarantine hotel for inbound travelers and is tested regularly.
On November 26, the World Health Organization has officially designated a new strain of novel coronavirus as the Omicron variant and categorized it as a Variant of Concern.
To guard against the imported cases, the Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention reminds residents to abide by the following safety protocols.
At the moment, the COVID-19 situation remains grim and complex overseas, and many Chinese provinces and cities have seen sporadic local outbreaks, which posts daunting challenges to our efforts in preventing inbound cases and domestic resurgences.
