The 130th session of the Canton Fair kicked off on Friday in Guangzhou, the capital city of south China's Guangdong Province. Launched in 1957, the country's oldest and largest trade fair is seen as a significant barometer of China's foreign trade.
Premier Li Keqiang pledged on Thursday stronger policy support to the growth of cross-border e-commerce, with measures to make the overseas warehouses smarter and more digitalized, as he visited exhibitors at the 130th session of the China Import and Export Fair.
The 130th Session of China Import and Export Fair And the Pearl River International Trade Forum was opened on Oct 15.
Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on Thursday that Chinese economy has shown strong resilience and great vibrancy, and China has the ability and confidence to meet the targets and tasks set for the year.
Premier Li Keqiang said on Thursday that China will continue to foster a market-oriented, world-class business environment governed by a sound legal framework to see that the country remains a fertile ground for foreign investment.
The accelerated restructuring of the global value chain and the fast-growing digital economy will transform the Canton Fair from a goods trade-themed grand event into a comprehensive business platform enriched by trade in services and technologies.
