According to data from the Guangzhou municipal commerce bureau, the city has experienced a 31.7 percent increase in newly negotiated projects and a 38.8 percent increase in confirmed projects in the first three quarters of this year.
Global conglomerates are establishing branches in Guangzhou, and local businesses are growing rapidly, demonstrating the city's strong appeal to foreign investors.
Guangzhou has achieved notable success not only in the new energy industry but also in biomedicine, food, and digital electronics, among other sectors. The photovoltaic project invested in by TCL Zhonghuan in Guangzhou, along with a series of other high-end manufacturing projects, highlights the city's allure across various industrial fields.
The city's open culture, innovative environment, and first-class business setting are key to attracting Global Fortune 500 companies. The rapid growth of local firms like the Guangzhou Construction Group is adding intrinsic momentum to the city's development.
Guangzhou is also striving to elevate its urban capacity, optimize its spatial layout, and create a livable, resilient, and smart city.
Its plans include building five beacons of governance, industry, innovation, talent, and data to optimize the business environment, nurture world-class enterprises, and promote economic development.
