2025 marks the 50th anniversary of China-Thailand diplomatic ties, with the idea of "China and Thailand as one family" deeply rooted in both nations.

On March 21, the "Global Trade: China-Thailand Special Session" was held at the Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Museum, guided by the Guangzhou Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.

The event spotlighted fresh opportunities in China-Thailand economic cooperation and addressed common challenges Chinese brands face in the Thai market, from cultural differences to market fit. One of the key highlights was the launch of the "Smart Chain to Thailand" platform, offering market insights, cultural solutions, and resource matching to help Chinese companies not only go global, but succeed locally.

Several Guangdong and Thai companies signed cooperation agreements covering electronics, household goods, fashion, and data services, injecting new momentum into cross-border partnerships.

Business leaders also shared hands-on strategies for brand localization and market entry, reinforcing the role of overseas Chinese as a vital bridge connecting both countries. The event underscored Guangdong's commitment to deeper engagement with global markets through the Belt and Road Initiative and the Greater Bay Area.
