The Guangzhou integrated pilot zone for cross-border e-commerce ranked first-class in China during a recent evaluation, becoming one of the 10 selected integrated pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce in the country.
The scale of Guangzhou's cross-border e-commerce retail imports has been ranking first in China for eight consecutive years since 2014. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), the city's import and export volume through the customs cross-border e-commerce platform increased 32-fold, leading the country.
Since it was approved as a national comprehensive pilot zone for cross-border e-commerce in 2016, Guangzhou has been continuously working hard in trade competition. It has participated in the formulation of 13 national and industrial standards to promote the high-quality development of its cross-border e-commerce.
In 2021, Guangzhou issued the first RCEP preferential policy for cross-border e-commerce in China, 119 policies for facilitating cross-border e-commerce, and 206 policies for promoting the development of cross-border e-commerce in Guangzhou.
The city has added 132 cross-border e-commerce enterprises in 2021. To date, Guangzhou has 193,000 enterprises and 24 industrial parks.
Guangzhou has built a local public service platform for cross-border e-commerce, with the largest volume of business, the widest range of services, and the most complete range of commodity categories in China. Its imported goods cover almost all the areas in China, while its exported goods cover 208 countries and regions.
Guangzhou will strengthen its efforts to be an international hub city for cross-border e-commerce. This year, it will hold the second Global Cross-border E-commerce Trade Fair, as well as continue to issue policies to support the development of cross-border e-commerce.
