Guangzhou Customs had cultivated 24 companies with Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certifications by the end of July, increasing the overall number of AEO companies in Guangzhou to 1,221.
The import and export value of AEO companies in Guangzhou between January and July reached $53.46 billion, accounting for 48.52 percent of the total value handled by Guangzhou Customs.
Holders of AEO certification are entitled to benefits akin to obtaining a green permit for international trade, which empowers enterprises' efforts to broaden their business in overseas markets.
Currently, China has achieved AEO mutual recognition with 15 economic entities, as well as 42 countries and regions.
"The clearance is more convenient with the help of the AEO certificate, and our products exported to Hong Kong can reach their destination within the best edible period," said Wang Xinyun, vice general manager of Canton American Flower Lounge Livestock Co Ltd.
Canton American Flower Lounge Livestock Co Ltd is the largest dairy company exporting products such as cheese and yogurt drinks to Hong Kong through Guangzhou Customs.
The company has exported a total of 390.4 metric tons of dairy products in the first seven months of this year, up 52.4 percent while the overall value increased by 61.1 percent year-on-year to 5.82 million yuan ($838,621.78).
