3 Guangzhou companies enter Fortune 500 list

Three Guangzhou companies were included on the 2019 Fortune 500 list released on Aug 10, namely China Southern Power Grid, GAC Group, and Cedar Holdings.

China Southern Power Grid ranked 105th on the list, with a revenue of $81.98 billion, five places higher than that in 2018, while GAC Group ranked 206th.

Cedar Holdings, a private company based in Guangzhou, was included on the list for the third consecutive year. The company ranked 296th, with a revenue of $41.28 billion, five places higher than that in 2018.

A total of 124 companies from the Chinese mainland including Hong Kong were included on the list, surpassing the number of companies from the United States for the first time, which had 121.
