The 2026 International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Tour Juniors (J60) returned to the Nansha International Tennis Center in Guangzhou for the third year in a row from Jan 18 to 25.

As the first ITF J60 event held in China this year, the tournament marks another milestone in Nansha's growing prominence in the global tennis scene.

The competition features singles and doubles events for both genders, attracting nearly 200 promising junior players from 16 countries and regions, including China, Canada, Australia, and Japan.

Among the standouts are China's Lu Hanlei, ranked fourth domestically in the ITF junior standings, and top-seeded Sun Jiayi, a two-time ITF junior champion. Rising talent Shi Jinling, who competed in the 2025 National Games, will also take part.

Nansha has steadily strengthened its position in tennis by hosting an annual series of elite events, including the ATP Challenger and the WTA Guangzhou Open. In 2025, the district also staged the tennis events of the 15th National Games and was selected as the winter training base for the Chinese national tennis teams.

By integrating professional tournaments with youth development programs, Nansha continues to foster talent and promote the sport's growth, positioning itself as a dynamic hub for tennis in China.
