On Dec 20, the Central Asia-Russia Trade Summit and China Auto Global Forum of the Nansha International Automotive Center were held in Nansha.

Currently, China's automobile export sector is experiencing a golden period of growth. However, companies entering the Central Asia and Russia markets still face multiple challenges, including policy coordination, access to compliance, and supply chain collaboration. The forum brought together over 200 representatives from government departments, foreign chambers of commerce, and industry chain enterprises to discuss topics such as policy interpretation, practical pathways, and the outlook for used car exports.

As a key project within the Shazai Island Automobile Terminal Cluster, the Nansha International Automotive Center has a total investment of over 13 billion yuan ($1.85 billion) and is dedicated to building the world's largest one-stop used-car export center. To date, it has attracted more than 100 industry-chain enterprises, forming a preliminary ecosystem that covers automotive trade, logistics, and finance.

During the forum, the center signed agreements with several enterprises for their entry, which is expected to further strengthen the "port + industry + trade" automotive industrial ecosystem in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Moving forward, the Nansha International Automotive Center is set to promote the branding and clustering of used car exports, supporting the Greater Bay Area's goal of becoming a global automotive trade hub.
