During the inauguration ceremony, the China-Madagascar (Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area) Economic and Trade Cooperation Center debuted as the first African economic and trade institution to settle in the platform.

Jean Louis Robinson Richard, Madagascar's ambassador to China, expressed hopes to promote joint investments in key areas such as agriculture, mining, and new energy. He emphasized the desire to capitalize on China's hybrid rice technology to achieve Madagascar's goal of food self-sufficiency.

Sun Yong, member of the standing committee of the Nansha district committee and executive deputy district chief, stated that the center will serve as a gravitational field for China-Africa commercial resources. Hosting events such as economic and trade forums and corporate salons will help Nansha become the preferred gateway for African goods entering China and for Chinese enterprises expanding into Africa.

To date, Nansha has established a cooperative network with five overseas economic and trade parks in Africa and six Africa-related business associations, covering 15 African countries and regions.
