NBA superstar makes surprise appearance in Nansha

NBA superstar Kawhi Leonard made a surprise appearance on Aug 26 at Dangang Tanzhou Court in Nansha, Guangzhou, engaging in exciting interactions with fans.

The event kicked off with dragon and lion dances and a drone show, during which Leonard's iconic 2019 playoff buzzer-beater against the 76ers was recreated in the sky.

Dangang town presented Leonard with a white jade plaque engraved with local scenery and martial arts culture, symbolizing benevolence, courage, wisdom, purity, peace, and glory. Leonard also experienced Wing Chun inch punches, immersing himself in traditional Chinese Kung Fu.

AI robots performed a group dance, showcasing cutting-edge technology. Meanwhile, children from the Yi ethnic group of Sichuan's Daliang Mountains greeted the superstar with lively dance moves and high-fives, sharing in the joy of basketball and dance.

Leonard also awarded the championship team with locally distinct prizes – Dangang white sugarcane and roasted chicken.
