On July 20, the high school division of the "Centennial School Cup" football tournament concluded in Nansha district, Guangzhou.
The event witnessed 48 intense matches over a span of seven days.
In the final match, Yali Middle School in Changsha defeated Seventh Middle School in Chongqing with a score of 2-0 to claim the championship, while Qiantang School of Hangzhou High School triumphed over Tieyi Middle School in Xi'an with a 2-0 victory to secure third place.
Li Yuening from Yali Middle School in Changsha was awarded the title of Best Player, Wang Yian from Qiantang School of Hangzhou High School emerged as the Best Scorer with six goals, and Zhong Junhao from Yali Middle School in Changsha was named Best Goalkeeper.

Nearly 400 players bravely battled the scorching heat, showcasing their spirit of perseverance. Coaches and players from all teams expressed their gratitude for the platform provided by the tournament, the enriching experiences gained in Nansha, the friendships forged, and the deepened understanding of Nansha through educational activities.
The success of the event signifies the enhanced capabilities of Nansha in organizing sporting events. The district will uphold the concept of "co-consultation, co-construction, and sharing", planning to establish a "membership-based" football club and have the "Guangzhou Bay Area Youth Team" participate in the Guangdong Provincial Super League.
