On July 12, the "2025 Greater Bay Area AI Scientific Innovation Talent Collaborative Cultivation Exchange Event" took place in Nansha district, Guangzhou.
Government representatives, business delegates, experts, scholars, and more than 400 education professionals from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao convened to discuss new strategies for cultivating AI talent in the innovation era.

During the event, representatives from 49 primary and secondary schools across the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao signed the "Initiative on Collaborative Cultivation of AI Scientific Innovation Talents between the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao" for the first time.
The initiative defines five key collaborative objectives: improving AI education quality, co-creating unique courses, and sharing resources; boosting teacher exchanges and professional growth through regular communication; enhancing student practical experience via cross-city activities and collaborative platforms; developing integrated training through "AI +" project-based learning; and gathering support from diverse stakeholders to build a new development ecosystem.
Several experts and scholars delivered insightful keynote speeches about AI's disruptive potential and opportunities in education. They shared practical experiences of universities integrating industry and academia and examined how AI can enhance scientific inquiry skills.
The event also featured a Smart Education Exhibition Area and an Innovation Product Showcase and Experience zone, giving participants the opportunity to see and try out innovative AI applications in education firsthand.
