A bustling crowd gathered at Nansha Port market as the 2025 Durian Carnival kicked off on April 29. As one of the largest national ports for durian imports, Nansha Port has allowed residents to taste fresh fruit from around the globe using an efficient "port-to-market" model — with goods unloaded and sold immediately, straight from container to table.
The carnival featured four main thematic zones: "Durian Paradise", "Colorful Fruit Collection", "Passionate Wine Corner" and a gaming area, showing imported goods and top-tier cosmetics. The event ran until May 3, just in time for the May Day holiday.
On April 30, the Nansha Coffee Culture Week commenced at the Nansha Bay Stone Space. The event combines coffee competitions, tastings, food markets, cultural and creative handcrafts, and music performances, merging cultural consumption and lifestyle.
The Coffee Culture Week was linked with a series of music camping activities from April 30 to May 2. Through the innovative combination of coffee, camping, music, and art, a new urban holiday experience was presented, driving the youthful and diversified development of Nansha.
