The press conference for the 17th Nansha Mazu Cultural Tourism Festival in Guangzhou was held at Nansha on April 11, 2025.
In order to promote the spirit of Mazu and facilitate cultural exchanges between both sides of the Strait, as well as the Hong Kong-Macao region, the festival aims to support Nansha in creating a significant strategic platform dedicated to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This year's festival is scheduled to be held from April 18 to 20.
It will cooperate with the 2025 GBA Lantern Festival, presenting a cultural feast that harmonizes traditional heritage with contemporary characteristics through innovative integration for citizens and visitors.
During the festival, a cultural extravaganza is brought to life through a series of performances. Featuring intangible cultural heritage ethnic dances, original music and dance performances, and a Mazu cultural parade, the event showcases a new chapter in the integrated development of culture and tourism in the GBA.
This year's Mazu Cultural Tourism Festival coincides with the Easter holiday in Hong Kong and Macao from April 17 to 22, during which Nansha Port will increase ships to meet the travel needs of Hong Kong and Macao tourists.
Nansha will collaborate with overseas platforms like Ctrip to provide one-stop consulting, booking, and payment for tickets to surrounding attractions, hotel accommodations, and tour routes related to the Mazu Cultural Tourism Festival, allowing Hong Kong and Macao visitors to travel freely and easily.
