Work began on the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong cooperation project for the Nansha High-end Manufacturing Industrial Port on Feb 22.
The Nansha Dagang Suigang Intelligent Manufacturing Base project, backed by investments from the Hong Kong Commerce and Industry Associations, Yuanrong Advanced (Shenzhen), and Smart Auto Industrial (Shanghai) totaling 2 billion yuan ($277.85 million), has been officially launched. The first phase of this project covers an area of approximately 90,000 square meters.
Its primary objective is to establish an industrial ecosystem cluster that encompasses various sectors within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. These sectors include new energy auto parts, intelligent connected vehicles, semiconductors, next-generation information technology, high-end equipment, and intelligent manufacturing. The project is poised to propel the high-quality advancement of Guangzhou's manufacturing industry.
The project broken ground on Feb 22 while acquiring land on Jan 19. It has been receiving supports from Nansha's industrial park management bureau. The bureau assists in the key sectors, such as the temporary supplement of electricity and water, the establishment of intersections, and the completion of the preliminary investigation. In the next phase, it is set to continue to provide all-round support and guidance for the enterprises lately involving in the project by coordinating and investing all the available resources.
