World's 1st ultra-fast charging battery factory commences production in Nansha

Guangzhou Greater Bay Technology's Nansha headquarters base was completed and put into operation on Oct 30, simultaneously launching the world's first specialized factory for ultra-fast charging power batteries.

The factory is the first professional facility in the world to mass-produce advanced ultra-fast charging (10-15 minutes) and even extremely fast charging (5-10 min, XFC) electric power batteries.

The newly established factory is located on the east side of Nansha Avenue in Nansha district. Its construction began in May 2022, covering an area of 189,000 square meters. This project has a planned total investment of approximately 4 billion yuan ($547 million).

The main functions of the factory include the production, research and development, pilot testing, and headquarters.

Currently, Guangzhou Greater Bay Technology has independently developed batteries with a maximum charging speed that is six times faster than conventional batteries. The vehicles equipped with these batteries hold the title of "Fastest Electric Vehicle Charging Technology", awarded by the World Record Certification Agency (WRCA).
