5th GBA Regatta to open in Guangzhou's Nansha district

The 5th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Regatta will be held at the Nansha Yacht Club in Guangzhou from Nov 3 to 5.

The competition will feature the FE26 adult group and the J70 junior group. The organizing committee will provide nine FE26 sailboats and 10 J70 sailboats for the unified level competitions, with a limit of 19 teams.

Each team can register up to six members, including the team leader and coach. During the competition, a minimum of four members must participate on each boat. Each participating team must have at least one helmsman with on-site racing experience and a sailing license.

Of note, foreign participants must hold a valid entry visa for the Chinese mainland in order to register for the competition.

The winners of the competition will receive a prize of 10,000 yuan ($1,370), the runners-up will be awarded 5,000 yuan, and third place will receive 3,000 yuan.
