Connecting the city's central area with the Nansha New Area, Guangzhou Metro Line 18 opened a Nansha-themed metro train on Oct 1, which will be on display until Dec 30.
Adorned in the main colors of the district's logo - blue and green, the metro train can travel at a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour.
It not only showcases the various landmarks of Nansha, but also employs visual design innovations to communicate its development history, achievements and the blueprint for its future development.
Citizens and tourists can also scan the QR codes inside the carriages to access the latest information about Nansha.
The eight carriages of the train exhibit eight different chapters, presenting an overview of Nansha, its transportation and location, ecosystem and environment, cultural features and the evolution of the district from 4,000 years ago to the present day. In many respects, it's like a mobile exhibition hall.
With the launch of the train, Guangzhou hopes to enhance the visibility and reputation of Nansha New Area, promoting tourism, investment and economic development in the district.
The train aims to serve as a unique platform to showcase Nansha's achievements and aspirations, inviting people to explore and appreciate the charms of the dynamic and promising district.
