The Tingjiao Bridge widening and transformation project recently started construction, local media outlets reported on Sept 19.

After completion, the project will connect with the Dongxin Expressway, realizing a fast connection between downtown Guangzhou, the central area of Nansha's Jiaomen River and Mingzhu Bay.

The project starts from the S358 provincial highway in the west, connecting to Jinkang Avenue in the east, and crosses over the Jiaomen Waterway. The total length of the project is about 1.2 kilometers, with a newly built bridge section totaling 971.58 meters, including a main bridge that spans 254 meters over the Jiaomen Waterway.

This project is a combination of a secondary highway and an urban main road. It involves combining two bridges into a six-lane dual carriageway, designed with a speed limit of 60 km per hour.
