On Sept 16, French player Atmane took the championship title at the men's singles event, while Swiss player Bellier and his partner claimed the men's doubles title at the 2023 Guangzhou Nansha International Challenger, which was held in the Nansha International Tennis Center.
Atmane managed to fiercely drag the match into a deciding set after the second set tie-break, and in doing so, he ignited both passion and suspense in the spectators. The deciding set remained tightly contested, with neither player giving an inch. It wasn't until the 10th round when Atmane achieved a crucial break, sealing his victory with a score of 4-6, 7-6(7), and 6-4.
With this championship win, Atmane's ranking entered the ATP top 150 for the first time. When asked about his future goals, he stated that he aims to break into the top 100 this year and qualify for the main draw at the next Australian Open in 2024.
