The detailed design plan for the permanent venue of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum was unveiled on Aug 2 in Guangzhou's Nansha district.
Located in the core area of the Pearl Bay, east of Lingshan Island's central business district, the whole venue is designed to be divided into two parts.
With a total floor space of 93,500 square meters, the Phase I project will use the design concept of "an ark sailing on the Pearl River", symbolizing the district's concise, precise and rich technological spirit.
It will be dedicated to high-level international conferences and sci-tech exchanges, while developing a high-level exhibition space featuring high-tech, deep-sea and deep-space displays.
Additionally, the Phase II project is expected to feature a technology and innovation center, as well as residential quarters for leading scientists, offering a world-class scientific platform for innovation and entrepreneurship.
