Dynamic digitalization drives Nansha's economic growth

Since the implementation of the master plan, Nansha has made significant progresses in the digitalization of its traditional manufacturing enterprises, local media outlets reported on July 7.

In 2022, industrial enterprises in Nansha achieved a total output value of 380 billion yuan ($53 billion), ranking second in terms of scale and growth rate in Guangzhou. This will effectively support the high-speed growth of the industrial economy.

The Huawei innovation center for artificial intelligence (AI) has brought together the company's technologies, capabilities, and resources in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and big data.

The center has promoted the digitalization of 120 enterprises, including Guangzhou Shipyard International Company and Phnix Technology. It has also solved more than 140 core technological issues regarding fine management, lean manufacturing, process upgrades, logistics, and energy consumption.

Guangzhou Shipyard International Company, under the umbrella of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, is the largest and most modern comprehensive shipbuilding enterprise in southern China. The company has developed a 3D model application system that realizes digital shipbuilding and forms an intelligent ship product line.

Nansha's digitalization efforts have showcased the district's commitment to harnessing the benefits of technology and innovation. The collaboration between the Huawei AI innovation center, Nansha district, and various other enterprises has paved the way for a more advanced and efficient industrial economy in the district.
