Lychee in Nansha district is mainly planted on Nansha Street and Huangge town, and these lychees will mature and be marketed in large numbers around mid-June. More than a dozen major lychee gardens in Nansha will be open to the public for picking, and some orchards will also provide online purchase channels.

The price of Nansha Guiwei lychees is expected to be between 30 yuan ($4) and 40 yuan per kilogram. Guiwei lychees from Nansha have thin skins and small cores. They are sweet and delicious. The Guiwei lychees also have strong water-locking capability and no juice leakage when peeled.

Nansha's lychee planting history is three or four hundred years long, and the varieties planted here include Guiwei, Nuomizi, Feizixiao and Huaizhi.

In order to develop its lychee industry, the Nansha district agriculture and rural bureau strengthened its pesticide safety guidance, promoted publicity on pesticides, and focused on strengthening daily sampling and monitoring during cultivation.
