The Nansha cold chain logistics distribution center can provide a one-stop cold chain service for frozen products from inspection to storage. The qualification of its imported meat designated inspection field was recently approved by the government.
The center is qualified to inspect imported meat, fruit, plant seedlings, aquatic products and dairy products. It can guarantee the quantity and quality of food for the public in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Nansha district has provided strong support for the center's construction, which covers an area of 208,000 square meters and has a planned warehouse capacity of 460,000 metric tons, making it the largest single cold storage center in China.
The first phase of the Nansha international logistics center project has been completed with three cold stores, a cold container storage yard and a supporting building with a total storage capacity of 227,000 metric tons.
In 2022, Nansha Port imported 1.16 million tons of cold chain products, up 69.1 percent year-on-year. The port's cold chain imports rose to third place in China.
