China's 1st industry data index release platform put into use

China's first industry data index release platform in data exchange field was put into use with more than 80 data indices released on Jan 13, hitting a total transaction amount of over 507 million yuan ($75 million).

The data indices covers 10 industries such as economics, electricity, transportation, tourism, agriculture, medicine and intellectual property. They will help the market gain a better understanding of the industry and the future development trend.

The platform was launched by Canton Data Exchange, which is based in Nansha, and started operation on September, 2022.

The institution now has 220 registered members and over 640 trading targets of data products and services, involving 18 major industries such as artificial intelligence, intelligent transportation, manufacturing, finance, trade services and data governance.
