Located at the southernmost end of Guangzhou, Nansha has a warm climate in autumn and winter, which is suitable for the planting, production, demonstration and promotion of a wide range of fruits and vegetables.

Recently, cherry tomatoes grown in Nansha's Mingzhu Agricultural Park have been ripening and are waiting to be picked, local media outlets reported on Dec 31, 2022.

The park was ranked as a modern urban agricultural demonstration park in the Pearl Bay Area and has an overall planting area of about 10,300 mu (687 hectares). It consists of fish ponds, vegetable fields, and flowerbeds, making it an idyllic demonstration complex that integrates production, displays, tourism and leisure.

It has introduced several new high-quality varieties of cherry tomatoes in 2022, all of which taste sweet and are highly nutritious. In addition, Mingzhu Agricultural Park opened classes that integrate modern agricultural and education.
