Nansha Marathon spreads concept of national fitness

The opening ceremony for the 2023 Nansha online marathon was successfully held in Guangzhou's Nansha district. The event aims to promote Nansha's characteristic culture while widely spreading the concept of national fitness through online competitions.

This year's event consists of four events. They're a marathon (42 kilometers), a half marathon (21 km), a health run (10 km) and a fun run (5 km). The events will be held from Dec 22, 2022 to Feb 22, 2023.

Runners need to register through the "First Track" APP, and use the APP to record their running distance and times within the specified period. The event sets the individual running ranking as well as the group running ranking.

The event follows last year's offline check-in gameplay, and launches two special check-in routes of the "most beautiful" track and the "looking for Nansha" track.

The "most beautiful" track combines ecology, tourism, and unique Nansha characteristics. This route flows through nine areas in Nansha district. During the event, participants can go to the designated locations and check-in to unlock a local specialty gift.

The "looking for Nansha" route selects nine characteristic check-in points based on eco-tourism and historic venues in Nansha district and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
