Design for Huangpu-Nansha east expressway revealed

The Guangzhou public resource trading center recently announced the design for the Huangpu-Nansha east expressway, local media outlets reported on Dec 30, 2022.

The 20.2-kilometer expressway, which will pass through Guangzhou's Panyu and Nansha districts, is designed to start at Nanda Road in Panyu and connect to Shiziyang passage at Jigushan Road.

The expressway's Nansha section will be about 5.9 km long and the Panyu section will be about 14.3 km. It is designed to be built according to national first-class highway standards, with no less than eight lanes in both directions and a designated speed of 80 km per hour.

According to the announcement, the expressway will link Nansha, Panyu and Huangpu districts upon its completion, making it more convenient for citizens to travel, and further improving Guangzhou's expressway network.
