Nansha to hold New Year music festival

Guangzhou's Nansha district plans to hold a music festival at the Nansha Tianhou Palace from Dec 31, 2022 to Jan 2, 2023, to celebrate the coming New Year.

The festival will use elements of the metaverse, and carry out a series of activities including cultural performances, a hanfu show, an electro rap show, as well as feature popular DJs and girls groups.

Citizens who cannot be there can watch the real-time stream through their phones, and get a taste of the unique music that will be displayed using front-projected holographic technology.

The festival aims to play a leading role in promoting the recovery and prosperity of the cultural and tourism industry. This festival will also show Nansha's achievements in the cultural, tourism, science and innovation fields.
