Located in Guangzhou's Nansha district, the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Mingzhu Science Park has recently made progresses in the construction of its N-4 and N-8 projects, local media outlets reported on Dec 26.
The 21.5-meter-tall N-4 project has a total of three floors, and is designed as a steel structure weighing about 1,700 metric tons.
Up to now, the project has completed its exterior decoration, mechanical and electrical HVAC. After the soft installation process, it will then be handed over to the Guangdong Institute of Mechanics on Dec 30.
It has been designed to meet the future needs of vehicle components, full system integration testing, avionics and load testing, thus providing support for scientific and technological innovation in the field of air and space science and technology.
The main body of the N-8 research building in Mingzhu Science Park has been completed. It is expected to be handed over to the Guangdong Institute of Intelligent Unmanned Systems on Dec 30, aiming to become a vital headquarters of the production and R&D for deep-sea submersibles.
