Nansha puts efforts into ensuring automobile supply chains

Guangzhou's Nansha district established a collaborative linkage mechanism to guarantee the supply chains of its key industries, including automobiles, local media outlets reported on Dec 6.

As Nansha's pillar industry, the automobile manufacturing industry's output value exceeded 150 billion yuan ($21 billion) in 2021, so it is vital to centralize resources to resume automobile production by building a supply guarantee mechanism, and supplementing the industrial chain.

Nansha has formulated precise work plans and support policies for the automobile industry. It has also given priority to the introduction of high-tech component enterprises to guarantee automobile enterprises' industry chain.

The district collaborated closely with key automobile enterprises such as GAC Toyota to respond to their supply chain demands in a timely manner.

It also made efforts to ensure production factors such as electricity and water were readily available. This will help GAC Toyota continue to give priority to the production highly profitable vehicles.

In the future, Nansha plans to introduce specific measures in eight aspects, including boosting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and providing efficient government services to further stimulate the market's vitality, and boost the development of Nansha-based enterprises.
