Nansha plans to build a public service project consisting of one kindergarten and one civic park, which will integrate the functions of both supporting facilities and public green space, local media outlets reported on Nov 2.
The project will be located east of Miaonan Road at the tip of Lingshan Island and its total land area is expected to be about 12,820 square meters.
Covering an area of about 8,775 sq m, the kindergarten will have the capacity for 18 kindergarten classes and two nurseries, with an enrollment scale of about 590 children. The west side of the kindergarten is planned to be the civic park, while the east side will be a waterfront green belt landscape.
In addition to the green space, the park will include a public toilet. It will cover a land area of about 4,045 sq m and a building area of about 100 sq m.
In the future, the project will enable children to grow up and learn in an area surrounded by nature. It will also inject vitality into the city by building the landscape corridor between the park and the river nearby.
