The Nansha branch of the Affiliated Cancer Hospital and the Institute of Guangzhou Medical University will be built on the west side of Wanxin Avenue in Wanqingsha town, covering a total land area of 67,603 square meters and offering 1,000 beds.
Focusing on oncology medical care, the hospital will provide physical examinations, outpatient and emergency services, as well as inpatient medical services.
It is committed to realizing the all-around development of tumor prevention, diagnosis, and treatment services, while also focusing on scientific research and teaching, with plans to build itself into a high-level teaching and research-oriented oncology hospital.
The hospital will be constructed in phases. The first phase of the project is expected to have 500 beds while covering a total construction area of 87,511 sq m. It is also expected to offer 737 parking spots for motor vehicles and 2,188 for non-motor vehicles.
New medical service rooms, teaching management rooms, dormitories, underground garages, outdoor engineering, and other supporting facilities will be constructed in this phase.
Based on the disciplinary characteristics, as well as the diagnosis and treatment process of oncology hospitals, the hospital will utilize an MDT (multidisciplinary team) concept, establishing an efficient and safe medical process system that adapts to multidisciplinary consultation.
