The 2022 internship program for young Hong Kong and Macao students in Nansha was launched on July 28. A total of 176 college students from Hong Kong and Macao will start a six-week working internship in Nansha.
In recent years, Nansha has made a series of achievements in scientific and technological innovation industry cooperation, the promotion of youth entrepreneurship and employment, as well as opening-up portal construction. It has also advanced its rules and regulations to match with Hong Kong and Macao, as well as further its urban planning and construction, especially in promoting youth entrepreneurship and employment by providing young talents from Hong Kong and Macao with comprehensive services.
In mid-June, the State Council issued an overall plan for the Nansha district to deepen comprehensive cooperation between Guangdong and the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions. It aims to build Nansha into an important platform for Hong Kong and Macao to better integrate into the national overall development.
Tsang Chi Ming, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, also expressed that the "Nansha Plan" is a great inspiration for Nansha and Hong Kong. He expressed hope that Hong Kong and Macao strengthen platform and project cooperation with Nansha, as well as jointly build a platform for youth entrepreneurship and employment cooperation. He also encouraged young students from Hong Kong and Macao to seize opportunities and dare to try to make breakthroughs in the Guangdong- Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
"Internship to promote employment" is still the key term of this year's internship program. The program has set up a series of activities focusing on careers, such as "Job Tips," which will lay a solid foundation for Hong Kong and Macao youth to enter the workplace and society in the future.
