South China headquarters of China EV (electric vehicle) 100 unveiled its plaque during a seminar on creating a new ecosystem for China's intelligent automobile supply chain, which took place on July 23 in Guangzhou's Nansha district.

The China EV 100 was established in May 2014 by a number of domestic and foreign automobile enterprises, experts and scholars, aiming to build a high-end think tank in the industry that offers advice to relevant departments.

The reason why the association chose to take root in Guangdong is that the province has one of China's most developed automobile industries, and manufactured the most automobiles in 2021. Guangdong nurtures well-known enterprises such as GAC, BYD and thousands of related enterprises managing automobile parts.

Based in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the South China headquarters will focus on key industrial processes, cutting-edge technologies and common topics to seek out the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and service empowered by innovation.

Representatives from over 40 enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region discussed pressing issues spanning future development trends and the intelligent automobile supply chain during the forum.
