Nansha hosts intl integrated circuit industry forum

The 2022 China (Nansha) International Integrated Circuit (IC)Industry Forum was held in Guangzhou's Nansha district on June 25.

Lin Keqing, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Party chief of Guangzhou, Wang Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and vice governor of the Guangdong provincial government, Xu Ningsheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as Wu Hanming, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered speeches.

Lin said that Guangzhou has optimized the layout of the manufacturing and material fields of the IC industry in recent years, as well as promoted the rapid development of the IC industry. In 2021, the output value of the IC manufacturing and electronic circuit manufacturing industries in Guangzhou increased 52.28 percent year on year.

Wang added that Guangdong province has promoted the development of the strategic emerging industries of semiconductors and IC in recent years, achieving good results. He also expressed hope that Nansha will implement the overall plan for Nansha district in Guangdong's provincial capital Guangzhou to deepen comprehensive cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to build a high-level scientific and technological innovation industrial cooperation base.
