Updated: 2022-05-17chinadaily.com.cn

China's first district-wide smart household waste classification supervision system was recently launched in Nansha district, Guangzhou, Guangdong province.

The supervision system can realize the intelligent supervision of waste disposal points through technical means like artificial intelligence, 5G, the internet of things, and cloud computing.

The system can collect various data and information related to garbage classification. After applying big data statistical analysis, it can realize the precise quantification of various work indicators, as well as provide data references that will influence garbage classification management decision-making in towns and streets.

The system includes AI intelligent supervision, a video center, garbage vehicle management, intelligent attendance, and other sections. On the screen, it can display detailed information on the classification and delivery of each delivery point, as well as the comprehensive ranking after the assessment of various indicators of garbage classification in each quarter.

Staff members can not only check data details, such as the distribution of alarm trends of illegally dumped garbage but also check the overall attendance of garbage classification supervisors and the work statistics of the supervisors.

At present, the system has covered 169 garbage classification and delivery points in Huangge, Lanhe, Dagang, Hengli, Dongchong town, and Zhujiang Street in Nansha.
