Nansha bolsters flood protection measures after heavy rainfall

This eagle-eye system can magnify scene pictures by 40 times through high-definition cameras installed at high altitudes and realize 24-hour monitoring.

Since the heavy rain came, the Pearl Bay administration has made full use of its digital information system for overall management. It has also cooperated with the emergency command team to conduct flood control patrol inspections, as well as make preparations to deal with typhoons, heavy rainfall, and other potential disasters.

To prepare for the heavy rain, the civil affairs bureau of the Nansha district actively mobilized the comprehensive home-based senior care service platforms and the comprehensive senior care service centers of towns and streets to do flood prevention and disaster relief work, making every effort to ensuring the safety of seniors' lives and property from potential difficulties caused by the weather.

As of May 11, the Zhujiang Street Social Worker Service Station had contacted 14 civil affairs service bureaus, as well as investigated the flood control requirements of seniors, orphans, and people who have a disability or a mental illness. A total of 15 people were transferred and resettled to safe places.

In response to various emergencies, Nansha has set up an underground railway construction team of 60 people, mainly assisting in facility maintenance and emergency repairs.
