Pony.ai announced that it will further cooperate with GAC Group's mobility platform On Time to build a fleet of 100 autonomous vehicles and start the Robotaxi demonstration operation in Guangzhou within the year.
Pony.ai will provide On Time with self-driving new energy vehicles based on its self-developed "virtual driver" technology, equipped with leading L4 autonomous driving software and hardware.
Acting as an intelligent connection network platform for the world-class automobile industry cluster in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, On Time will give full play to the advantages of the efficient operation of the travel platform and big data advantages to accelerate the commercialization of Robotaxi.
In the future, the two parties will jointly carry out systematic fleet management, build a Robotaxi fleet for public services, and promote the commercial application of cutting-edge autonomous driving technology on travel platforms.
In order to deepen cooperation and expand the cooperation ecosystem of the autonomous driving industry chain, Pony.ai has participated in round A financing of On Time.
