In recent years, Nansha has made great efforts to improve intellectual property rights protection to encourage innovation.

Last year, it issued the 80 Intellectual Property Rights of Nansha, clarifying its intellectual property rights protection measures, while also emphasizing innovation and development.

Nansha continues to implement the intellectual property subsidy incentive policy. In the past three years, it has issued 43.93 million yuan ($6.64 million) in subsidies and funded 121 patented technology industrialization projects, generating an output value of more than 13 billion yuan.

The Nansha Intellectual Property Comprehensive Service Center offers public services like trademark acceptance, patent search, and analysis, as well as Hong Kong intellectual property inquiries to serve enterprises and the public.

Nansha has also built the platform for intellectual property operation services of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, carried out intellectual property custody services for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as built an overseas intellectual property rights protection assistance system.

In the future, Nansha will attract domestic and overseas high-quality intellectual property resources to gather in the region, build a professional intellectual property service hub in the Greater Bay Area, as well as create a good intellectual property business environment.

Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) last year, Nansha has accumulated a total of 116,790 valid registered trademarks, a 20-fold increase compared with the same period in the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), while achieving breakthroughs in many tasks.
