Nansha customs has provided a variety of trade facilitation measures to meet the customs clearance needs of enterprises for fresh goods like fruit.
Shipping companies like COSCO Shipping and ZIM have opened many Thailand import express routes in the Nansha Port area. Currently, it only takes four days for goods to be transported from Laem Chabang Port in Thailand to Nansha Port.
In the first quarter of this year, Nansha Port has imported a total of 6,617 boxes of fruit, a year-on-year increase of 400 percent.
Nansha Port has the largest single cold storage base in the country, Guangzhou Nansha International Logistics Center Cold Chain Base, which boasts a total storage capacity of 227,000 metric tons. It can provide one-stop comprehensive cold chain logistics services, guarantee the freshness of imported fruit like durian, and satisfy public consumption needs.
From April to June this year, the Nansha Port area will welcome 18 Thailand import express lines. It is expected that more than 4,000 boxes of fresh durian will enter the Chinese market through Nansha in 2022.
