CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering completed construction on the main hydraulic structure of the barge berth port in the fourth phase of Guangzhou Port's Nansha Port area on April 8.

This marks a significant milestone in the construction of the first fully automated container port in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The construction of the project includes two 100,000-metric-ton and two 50,000-ton seagoing vessel berths, with a berth length of 1,460 meters, 12 2,000-ton barge berths, with a berth length of 984 meters, as well as four workboat berths, with a berth length of 200 meters. The land area of the port is about 1.2 million square meters.

After the completion of the project, the annual container throughput of the Nansha Port area of Guangzhou Port is expected to exceed 24 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU), which would be top among the single port areas in the world.

By then, Nansha Port area will be able to handle more container transportation work.
