The current COVID-19 pandemic situation in Hong Kong has drawn great public attention, with Guangzhou's Nansha district continuing to offer assistance.
The Guangzhou Nansha Overseas Friendship Association donated a batch of medical protection materials and Chinese herbal drinks to support Hong Kong. The first batch of medical supplies arrived in Hong Kong to help Hong Kong's COVID-19 prevention and control efforts. All of them met Hong Kong's medical and health standards.
The Nansha Station of Exit-Entry Frontier Inspection in Guangzhou provides on-arrival inspection and other services, giving priority to the customs clearance of materials supplied to Hong Kong and minimizing waiting time for ships, contributing to price stability and the supply of fresh food to Hong Kong.
Over the past month, more than 400 small ships from Hong Kong and Macao have set off from the Nansha Port area, as well as transited or arrived in Hong Kong, with the total cargo capacity reaching more than 59,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).
