Nansha creates 'cradle' for talents

In recent years, Guangzhou's Nansha district has been focusing on creating a better environment for talents to carry out innovation and entrepreneurship.

At present, Nansha has gathered about 15,000 high-level talents, 9.4 times that of 2016, with a 101 percent annual growth since 2016.

In terms of innovation and entrepreneurship support platforms, Nansha has gathered 14 provincial-level new R&D institutes, built four provincial-level innovation institutes, as well as built 352 platforms for scientific and technological innovation.

To date, Nansha has rewarded about 1.8 billion yuan ($280 million) in talent policy awards. In 2021, Nansha proposed providing up to 200 million yuan in financial support for major scientific research platforms.

The postdoctoral research workstation of Guangzhou Nansha Information Technology Park has recruited 108 postdoctoral researchers, as well as obtained more than 150 provincial and ministerial science and technology projects.
