Nansha solicits public comments for science park design plan

Nansha published the Guangzhou Nansha Pearl Science Park Phase I Urban Infrastructure Construction Project - Landscape Design Plan (Public Comment Draft) and solicited public comments on Feb 18.

The landscape engineering of the Pearl Science Park project mainly includes three parts, the ecological embankment of the outer river, the protective green space, and the green space along the inner river, covering a total landscape area of about 178,000 square meters.

In order to build and improve the traffic system network, the draft puts forward the concept of "three rings," which consists of a 3-kilometer ecological interactive waterfront ring, a 6.3-km slow traffic system ring through the whole park, and an 180,000–square-meter ecological park boundless ring.

The three pieces of land for this project are surrounded by Mingke Park, covering a total of about 180,000 square meters area.

The draft also focuses on how the science park can meet the diversified full-time recreation needs of science and technology workers, as well as creates 10 characteristic environments of the science park, incuding a mangrove section and a leisurely area.
